we have 18 years with great pleasure lived on the gerbrandysingel. we have enjoyed the space and the environment, our children have grown up there, we have the house to our hand and the garden a paradise made.

the garden offers a lot of privacy with the surrounding vegetation. with terraces at the house, by the pond and in the back, there is usually a place in the sun or in the shade. the vegetation provides color throughout the year. early in winter snowdrops and christmas roses adorn the garden. in spring the sight of the golden elm, the red japanese maple and the white flowering hawthorn in the afternoon sun is magnificent. the crystal clear pond has a wide waterfall that attracts birds in all seasons to drink and bathe. the heron occasionally comes to bite a fish. there is a place to swing and there are poles for lazing in a hammock by the pond. both from the kitchen and the back room there is always something to see in the garden. the front garden is fully grown and provides ample shelter from view by passersby. both the front and back you can see far away from the inside.

the special cupola in the attic is a wonderful place to just dream away and play guitar. the colors of the bathroom are inspired by the play of sunlight on the water. originally there was a large and a small bedroom at the front. by moving the half wall, we created two equivalent rooms. over the years, these have been used as children's and teenager's rooms, but also as guest and/or study rooms. in one of these rooms is a passively ventilated music studio built, ideal for music-studying roommates who do not want to disturb their surroundings.

the living room is wonderfully spacious, bright and versatile. on sunny days, the shutters and screens provide protection. the hood in the kitchen is decorated with unique handmade tiles depicting masterpieces of painting (not everyone's taste and can easily be replaced).

the back half of the garage was insulated in 2019 and converted into a workshop. because of the insulation all around, this space can also be used for other purposes perfectly well. through the window on the east you enjoy the morning light here; this is quite special for a semi-detached house to have windows in all directions.

the gerbrandysingel is a lovely quiet street to live on. we hope that the next residents will enjoy making this house their home as much as we do.

entrance to the house is in the spacious hall. the hall gives access to the toilet with fountain, the meter cupboard, the staircase and there is room for the wardrobe. also from the hall you come into the living area and into the garage / storage / hobby room.

the living area is divided into a spacious l-shaped living room situated at the front with nice views of the street through the presence of several windows. this is also a good light in the house. at the rear is the open kitchen equipped with a u-block with various appliances, namely a gas hob, extractor hood, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. next to the kitchen is the arrangement for the dining area, from here there is access to the garden.

1st floor:

from the landing there is access to 3 bedrooms, the bathroom and a (demountable) music studio. the master bedroom is at the rear of the house. next to it is the spacious bathroom with a bathtub, separate shower, double sink and the 2nd toilet. the bathroom has underfloor heating.
at the front are 2 bedrooms. the corner bedroom is more spacious with a sleep niche. the other bedroom is divided into a study room and an isolated music studio. this music studio is (if desired) easy to rejoin the bedroom. on the landing is a deep closet with sliding wall.

2nd floor:

via the staircase you first come out on the spacious landing. here is a large skylight, the arrangement of the central heating boiler (2022) and washing machine connection. the 4th bedroom is generous to call and has a characteristic domed dormer window at the front and an additional skylight on the side wall, which again provides a pleasant light. on the entire 2nd floor is plenty of storage space available.
